FlexxGate

FlexxGate™ Media Gateway

The flexible media gateway with a web-based GUI management and reporting console
The FlexxGate Media Gateway eases your transition from traditional TDM or analog telephone networks to next generation VoIP networks.  FlexxGate allows you to keep your existing phone lines and infrastructure as you gradually introduce newer VoIP equipment into your network.  FlexxGate’s multi-protocol capability allows you to solve a variety of network connectivity challenges along the way- even between different circuit-switched protocols.

Flexible and Extensible

Even though we sell FlexxGate as an appliance, it's not an off-the-shelf cookie-cutter standard product from a high volume gateway vendor.   PSS ships your FlexxGate systems pre-installed and configured to meet your deployment requirements.

It's been said that the great thing about standards is there's so many to choose from.  When your ideal gateway requirements stray a little off the beaten path, that's when FlexxGate really shines.  Its flexible, extensible architecture allows PSS to quickly add support for the additional protocols (standard or proprietary) and features you need.  So you won't find yourself in a position where you have to convince the world's largest gateway vendor to tweak its product line just to accommodate your special requirements.

This same flexibility allows FlexxGate to evolve as your requirements change.  The systems you deploy today are covered by a software maintenance program that gives you access to updates as PSS adds new features to the product.  Custom extensions can be added at any time, and if the work is minor it may even be covered under your software maintenance program.  PSS can also help you periodically refresh FlexxGate hardware so your gateways grow more powerful over time instead of depreciating into obsolescence.

Web-based GUI Management ConsoleConfiguration Screen Shot

Through a web-based GUI interface, you can easily manage all of your FlexxGate servers no matter where they're deployed in your network.  You can configure, monitor, and get detailed reporting across multiple FlexxGate servers deployed across many geographic locations.  Instead of having to know some arcane proprietary command line interface, you can simply point-and-click to configure your FlexxGate systems and get the detailed reports you need.   See more GUI screen shots.

Proven and Supported

FlexxGate is a field-proven product that's been commercially deployed on four continents since 2006.  Customers range from demanding Fortune 50 enterprises using high availability FlexxGate configurations to process millions of calls a month to smaller, single-appliance deployments that serve just one building.

Should any problem arise with your FlexxGate deployment, PSS will help.  Customers can get 24x7x365 immediate response to any issue by making a single phone call.   Calls are answered by trained professionals who can begin helping you right away.  You don't have to call in - or, even worse, send an email - to open a ticket, then wait for someone to respond before you actually get the help you need.

Configuration Screens

TDM Configuration               VoIP Configuration

The top section of the configuration screen (left screenshot) shows FlexxGate's GUI that allows you to easily configure its TDM spans.  This FlexxGate is configured with a pair of T1 spans.  For each span, you can set parameters using simple drop down menus or check boxes. You can define profiles with saved parameters that allow you to change or replicate configurations quickly.

The bottom half of the FlexxGate configuration screen (right screenshot) shows the FlexxGate GUI for configuring VoIP devices.   This FlexxGate is configured to talk to three VoIP devices, which in this case are three separate IVR systems that natively support SIP.  You can easily configure VoIP parameters using simple drop down menus and check boxes.  Though it doesn't show in this screen shot (see the TDM shot on the left) you can define profiles with saved parameters that allow you to quickly change or replicate configurations.

 Status Screens

 Status Screen

The Status Monitor screen above shows a single FlexxGate server configured for two T1 spans plus 48 VoIP sessions.  The top section shows the status of each T1 span, and you can see immediately that T1 span #1 is down.  The bottom section shows the active VoIP sessions, which are all functioning properly.  The status can be updated with a user-defined Refresh Rate specified on the right side of the Status screen.  This is what we call a near-real-time Status of the FlexxGateTM Media Gateway as the Refresh Rate can be defined as quickly as every 5 seconds.

Report Screens

The FlexxGate management console lets you easily search, sort, filter, and analyze data compiled from call detail records on just a single, or across all your FlexxGateTM Media Gateways.  View data across a time period you specify, filter and sort using any field, and create graphical representations of your results.

Calls Compare Report: Lets you compare call data from different time periods.  The report in this screenshot compares daily traffic (number of calls each hour) across multiple days.

Monthly Traffic Report: Shows each month's traffic over a period of several months.

Daily Load Report: Lets you see a graphical representation of the system's traffic load by hour for a specific day.

Traffic Load by Minute Report: Shows how you can drill down from an hourly report and see traffic load by minute.  The upper graph shows the load by hour, while the lower graph shows by-minute drill-down of a busy hour in the top graph.  Note that the report also shows the peak load on the system during the selected timeframe.

Call Detail Screens

Call Detail Report

FlexxGate logs detailed call records that you can access easily through the GUI management console.  The straightforward interface makes it easy to search, sort, filter, and analyze the data.  You can export your FlexxGate call detail records to a PDF for easy distribution, or for easy data maniputlation you can export to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file that can be imported to Excel or any other application that supports .csv.
