Deb Elvidge

Executive Vice President, Professional Services Organization

Deb has 20 years of experience providing major enterprises with voice systems, applications, and solutions to enhance customer service in their contact centers. She’s particularly skilled at understanding, from the customer perspective, exactly what the organization is trying to achieve for customer service in the contact center. Deb and her development teams have built hundreds of IVR applications across industry verticals such as financial services, healthcare, utilities, transportation, retail, and government. She has worked with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies with international deployments to mid-sized enterprises serving a region with a single call center.

Deb is also a successful entrepreneur, acting as Co-Founder and CEO of VSI, a company with a reputation in the industry for creating open, standards-based voice solutions that improve operating efficiency and customer satisfaction. PSS acquired VSI in early 2007 in order to provide a complete range of voice self-service solutions and Deb joined PSS to head its Professional Services Organization. Customers value her aptitude for listening to their needs, her unique ability to “bring sanity to the chaos,” and appreciate her commitment to the partnership.

Before founding VSI, Deb was VP of Business Development and Operations at Vocalocity, a software company that created VoiceXML-enabled IVR platforms and media servers for OEM customers. Earlier, Deb was VP of Engineering and Project Office for an IVR development and systems integration firm, where she managed all aspects of strategic design, development and deployment in multiple integrated system environments, across proprietary and open standards platforms. She’s managed diverse teams while employing established project management best practices to complete hundreds of successful projects. Other accomplishments include 15 years in banking, credit card processing and operations management and consulting, where she specialized in call center and help desk management, system integration, data mapping and systems conversions, performance measurement, business process engineering and operations management.

Deb’s discipline skills from her work life extend into her personal life through yoga (or maybe vice versa). When time permits, she runs and is an avid reader and writer. In her younger days, Deb played guitar and sang for over ten years with the Amigos, a nationally respected youth band who performed for presidents, governors, and other dignitaries while touring the US and Europe. The group’s strong tradition of community service has influenced both Deb and her son- who now performs and tours with the same band and is very active mentoring youth in the Phoenix area. Deb’s younger daughter is also an accomplished performer, having been the youngest member of a team that won a National Cheerleading competition.

Deb hails from the Arizona State University School of Architecture/Business and Computer Science. She also holds certifications in Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Process (PMP), American Management Association (AMA), Data Tech Institute (DTI) for Telecommunications, and MAP Management Systems.
